I have been working as a practising work or occupational psychologist for over 25 years; firstly in British Telecom where I was involved in the design and application of management selection methods, and then for 11 years with SHL Group plc, where as an Assistant Director I worked in all areas of psychological test and questionnaire design, job and competency analysis, and the statistical validation of selection and other HR processes. I left SHL in 1998 to work as an independent consultant and have continued to offer my services to a wide range of private and public sector organisations and companies. 

I hold Level A and Level B Statements of Competence in Occupational Testing from the British Psychological Society and am registered with most leading test suppliers. I have been a Chartered Occupational Psychologist since 1998 and am also a reviewer of psychometric materials for the British Psychological Society.

Among my particular specialist areas are;

   * selection of applicants/individuals for jobs using psychometrics and/or assessment centres

   * design of psychological tests/questionnaires/interview guides

   * design of selection methods/assessment centres/assessment centre materials

   * statistical validation of selection methods and other HR processes

   * job and competency analysis

   * assessment of corporate culture/values
